My Hiding Place – Joshua Biggar

You’re my hiding place,
You’re my source of safety,
And You are my shelter
From the storm.

You catch my tears,
You see my pain,
You hold me together.

And how could I forget about You?
And how could I live without You?
You are my Hiding Place!

You give true peace,
To those who depend on You.
Lord, I depend on You.

And how could I forget about You?
And how could I live without You?
You are my Hiding Place!

All Your Love and all Your Grace
Fills this place.
All Your Mercy, all I need,
Fills this place.
There’s no darkness, not a trace,
In this hiding place.
And I will rest in perfect peace,
For You are my hiding place.

You are my hiding place.
My hiding place.

Very Short Story of Song

Many of my songs come from times of pain. I’m always able to run to God with all my burdens and He never fails to carry them for me, and in the process He gives me a song to sing to Him. I can still remember going through a deep pain, and then remembering God and telling Him, “You are everything I ever need, how could I have forgotten about You? How can I ever live without You?” So that’s where the pre-chorus came from. Most of the other lyrics come especially from scripture.

“Whom have I in heaven but You? I desire You more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever. Those who desert Him will perish, for You destroy those who abandon You. But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign LORD my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things You do.” – Psalms 73:25-28 NLT

Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” -Matt. 11:28. No more fear. No more doubt. When in the arms of the Savior, you’re safe from the harm of the enemy. ‪#‎HidingPlace‬

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. – Psalms 32:7
