Inspiration:

Whenever I am really thirsty, I tend to think about waterfalls and long to stand under the cold mountain water and drink till my thirst has been satisfied. Might sound crazy, but that’s just me! But more important than an earthly thirst is a spiritual thirst. Like water in the desert, is God’s Spirit to our lives. Every heart on this earth needs Jesus. Every longing–thirsting– in ones life is a need for something that can satisfy. Many try to to fill that thirst with things of this world, and mistakenly think that temporary happiness is joy. They feel satisfied with something that is only giving them pleasure for the moment. Then its gone and nothing is left. Only one can bring eternal satisfaction to our lives and that is God’s Spirit. The Living Water! He refreshes the soul, and Joy overflows from within us. Even if we lost everything on this earth, we have Joy Eternal! God, I’m ONLY Satisfied by YOU! You are water for my soul!

Dear God, You alone refresh my soul! You alone give me Joy and satisfy the desires of my longing heart! You give me everything I need and You are everything I have ever wanted. Keep my mind focused on You and do not allow my heart to long for the things of this world which can never satisfy me, but give me a desire to know and Love You will all my heart and soul! Awaken me to worship You with all that is within me! Thank You for all that You do for me! In Jesus Name, Amen!
